Good study book. Has questions at the end of each unit so thats good. Works pretty well and is organized overall. The only thing that gets to me is the cover is kind of weak so it rips of easily.

Wow-really great to see examples of true artists' work especially since most of this is very obscure, and appears to be somewhat localised to the west coast. Makes me want to hit the road.
Understandably, as this is a collection of old photos, some images aren't as clear as if they had all been photographed for the book, but still an amazing book- well worth the money.

The Book's Title Says it All

"Tunnel of Love" is a story about relationships. Family love, affectionate love, sexual love, maternal love, sibling love, and friendship are explored from the perspectives of two very different women. Linda is 28 years old, widowed after only six weeks of marriage to an older man who has a fifteen year-old daughter, Robin. In addition, she finds out she is also pregnant! She is determined to make the best out of life for herself and her new "instant family". Robin is a truculent, troubled, and in many ways, typical teenager. The story is told from her point of view, as well as Linda's. This makes for an interesting and realistic examination of the issues in the book. When baby Phoebe is born, we experience the wonder of learning to love a brand new person, from the view of a big sister and a new mom. I admired Linda's perserverance, optimism, and "never say die" attitude. It was in contrast to the anger and frustration I felt for Robin...which goes to show how good the writing in this book is. I am a 36 year old mother with a daughter approaching the teenage years; the author managed to convey the struggle and, ultimately, the love between mother and daughter. While the story doesn't exactly qualify as a page-turner, I truly enjoyed this book about the many ways love is expressed and experienced. Four stars is the highest rating I have yet given a book on Amazon.com.

excellent resource

This book is a really, really interesting find! My husband works in a variety of capacities, including electric work, estimating, managing and other duties- all of which are covered in some form or another in this book. It has so many different topics I really couldn't begin to list them all, it would be an exercise in futility! I definitely recommend it.

Bought as a gift for my husband's stocking at Christmas time and he was very impressed with the amount of helpful information the book contained. He related it as being a valuable resource and likes to have it handy to consult for at home projects. We have other in-your-pocket books and have enjoyed this series.
