It's definitely not a book you can cozy up with, but this handbook is a great resource for those interested in studying civic engagment in youth, particularly from a developmental psychology perspective. The editors are leaders and the field and are passionate about fostering engagement in youth, so this is a great resource for those who wish to take an action research approach. Particularly helpful are the pieces on methodological concerns in the field.
