When a Biblical commandment is counter-cultural, that's a strong indicator it's relevant for today.
If you look up the cultures of all the first century churches, not all of them requiring women to cover their heads.
There were a number that didn't, yet Paul said that all the Churches kept this custom.
This means it is a universal principle for all cultures and all times.
